The Demon Tweeks logo has remained largely unchanged since the birth of the brand back in 1971. Although the idea of updating the logo has been banded around for some years, no one has actioned it.
I decided to have a play with it after generating updated logo ideas for the company’s sister brand, Tweeks Cycles.
While designing this update it was critical that the overall look and feel was not changed too much and that it was seen just as an evolution. To that end, I have tried to make sure that the basic shapes of the characters have remained similar. The end result is a bit sharper and has a more dynamic feel which has been introduced by a slight italic but is still recognisable as the brand.
I feel the more dynamic look suits the subject matter better.
At the moment, this still remains just an idea.
